Quarantined? Start A Business.
Goldman Sachs predicts 2.25 million Americans filed initial unemployment claims this week. That’s a lot of people searching for new sources of income. With our Government not offering nearly enough support for working people, starting a small business might be one the few ways to get through this crisis.
And even for those employed and stuck at home, building a business can be a great break from your 12 hours of Tiktok and Love Is Blind binge.
But I know the idea of starting a business can be intimidating – it shouldn’t be!
Over the past few years, I’ve gotten really good at quickly developing business ideas to test if they actually work. I can get most ideas up within a week and for less than $100. No coding or technical knowledge required.
To show you just how easy it is, I’m starting a newsletter called One Week Startup. Each week I’ll explore a random business idea that anyone, anywhere can start in less than a week. In each newsletter, you’ll find:
A practical idea for a business and why I like it
An extremely detailed guide into all of the actionable tasks that you need to do to start the business in one week, and
Provide all the resources and tools you need to be successful
This seems counterintuitive but: If you ever wanted to start a small business, now is the time. You’re home, you have time and many consumer needs (see: grocery store shelves) are not being met.
Not every idea will be for you but, through the newsletter, I’m hoping you see how easy it is to start a business, and learn something about my process that you can apply to whatever idea you end up pursuing.
I’m excited to start this journey and hope you’ll join me!
